An architect with a lifelong passion for chocolate, Eric – the chocolate maker at Somerville Chocolate – stumbled on the art of chocolate making during a trip to Costa Rica in 2010. The ensuing euphoria lead to several years of nearly-continuous and obsessive chocolate making.
Longing for both an excuse to make a lot more chocolate and the camaraderie of a small group of local chocolate enthusiasts interested in sharing the thrill of chocolate making, the Somerville Chocolate CSA was formed in the spring of 2012. The CSA has slowly grown in size and geographic extent over the years and has lead to a selection of regular bars that are available for purchase at Somerville Chocolate or select stores.
