Somerville Chocolate is located within the Aeronaut Brewery, 14  Tyler Street, Somerville, MA. Our mailing address (correspondence only) is Somerville Chocolate, 54 Vinal Avenue, Somerville, MA 02143.

As a (usually) one person operation, Somerville Chocolate’s production hours are unpredictable: generally 9-4 Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 9-3 Tuesday and Thursday, with occasional hours late at night (10:30 PM+) or during the weekends. While the Aeronaut Brewery is accessible nearly all day, it is only open to the public after 5:00 PM weekdays / 12:00 PM weekends. Visitors arriving when the brewery is not open to the public are welcome, but should inform anyone who asks that they have an appointment at Somerville Chocolate, and are highly encouraged to arrange that appointment in view of the unpredictable hours by emailing eric@somervillechocolate.com.

Open or closed, one can always purchase bars at Somerville Chocolate’s self-serve / honor system chocolate bar vending case, or at our chocolate cigarette vending machine – both on-site and accessible to anyone within the brewery.

    Hi Eric,
This chocolate loving girl would really like to try your bars and to share with my chocolate colleague Brady.
    Any way to get them???
I would also like to share the smoked one with another client of mine,I liked that bar and it was very cool.

Hi! Just noticed on your retail seller sections that Gourmet Boutique – a small chocolate shop in Copley Square, Boston that sells your product is not listed – I just stopped working there after 2 years, they’re very popular and great – you should throw them on there 🙂

    Best,

      Hi Julia,

Thanks for letting me know, & sorry it took so long to get back to you. I had no access to my site for a while (under modifications) & missed your comment.

Gourmet Boutique is indeed a cool little place, & I’m glad to be there. Anya does a great job there.

There was a long pause when she didn’t have my chocolate. I must have pruned the reference at one point without remembering. I appreciate you’re pointing that out – I went & added Gourmet Boutique back to the list.

      Thanks again,
      Eric Parkes

Hello, we will be in the Somerville area the last Sunday in January. Are open? And if so, may we purchase some of your chocolate? Jenn

    Hello!

I heard about this and am interested in joining. One question – I have celiac and cannot have gluten. Do your creations typically have wheat, malt, barley or other gluten containing ingredients?

    Thank you!
    Chris

Hi Chris, thanks for the interest! The only chocolate I’ve ever made that had a gluten ingredient was / is a beer fermented chocolate, which had some amount of barley in it via the beer. Otherwise nothing gluten-containing is used. This upcoming season will certainly have nothing with gluten in it. Also, if I ever produce something with an allergen as part of the CSA I give a big heads up to the group, and offer to swap with a bar of something else for that harvest. Thanks again for the inquiry!
